The project is an addition to the growing University of Balamand in the north of Lebanon.
The design, although very regimented and ruled by its program, was faced with contextual considerations which helped in freeing it from the conventional hospital topology.
The project, located on a hillside with a slight slope, allowed the topography to guide the shape and height of the building by using the natural slope of the site for circulation to bring nature within the project. In the outpatient block of the hospital, courtyards are carved into the semi-circular shape to allow for light and green breather spaces.
