Changing the physical environment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been a goal for the past decade; yet the challenge of undertaking the conversion of a large lot of arid land into an oasis could only be implemented by an ambitious decision of King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz.
Given a site deprived of all elements of life, the design plotted a large artificial lake and grouped around it several facilities for outdoor experience.
The overall project preserves the beauty of the rock formations, and uses them as natural sculptures within the introduced man made features.
